We’re excited to announce our newest resource — the new Hammond Welcome Sign!

Located on the corner of SW Railroad Ave and E. Coleman St., this new digital sign will welcome residents and visitors as they come into downtown. The sign will display messages pertaining to city activities, downtown events, and upcoming holidays.

Designed by Roy T. Dufreche & Associates and constructed by HoneyB Construction LLC, the project includes brick and landscaping that compliments other public spaces through downtown. The sign is expected to be complete in November 2024.

The DDD will be responsible for managing the messages on the sign. Organizations interested in displaying messages will be able to submit artwork and message via online form that will be available on the DDD’s website.

A huge thank you to the City of Hammond for contributing funds to make this happen. We can't wait to see the finished product!
